Different Types of Stand Off Signs

Standoff letter signs offer an excellent method to enhance the visibility of your signage. Also known as raised letters or acrylic letters, standoff letters can be affixed to your storefront, sign face, or interior wall, providing added depth and prominence to your signage.

You have a variety of standoff letter options to consider, including a diverse selection of materials, colors, styles, and even illuminated variations for added visibility and appeal.

Stand Off Letters

Mounting plastic spacers or standoffs to the back of cut letters enhances the depth of your sign and draws more attention compared to a flat sign. Typically crafted from 3mm or 5mm materials, these spacers offer a cost-effective solution for creating a 3D sign that delivers significant impact without requiring a substantial budget.

Flat Cut Letters

Flat cut self-adhesive acrylic letters are a smart choice to jazz up your business's signage. Made from top-notch acrylic material, they bring a polished and modern vibe to your brand presentation. With their handy self-adhesive backing, sticking them onto walls, windows, or doors instantly boosting your business's visibility and style. Whether indoors or outdoors, these letters hold up well over time, ensuring your business name or logo stands out with flair and durability.

3D Style Letters

Using thicker materials is a great way to add a premium look to your sign, without spending a fortune. Thicker materials anywhere from 10mm to 25mm such as PVC foam, sheet timber or acrylic give you the option of having your letters raised on spacers or mounted directly to the wall.

Halo Illuminated Signs

Halo illumination creates a glow of light around any built-up letter, as LEDs are positioned to shine out from the reverse of the letter.

Used on their own or together with a face lit effect, halo illuminated letters add magic to a sign project, whether they are fixed to a sign tray or letters installed individually. When added to a letter with a non-illuminated face, halo illumination brings definition to the halo lit letter.

Halo illuminated letters are very often used with white LEDs which produce a bright glow. However, here at Rapid Signs Manchester, we offer a wide range of LED colour options, including RGB.
